COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT: Giving Back with Heart

JTNB’s John Dowling Leads by Example at Local Food Distribution

At Jim Thorpe Neighborhood Bank, community involvement is at the core of who we are—and no one demonstrates this better than John Dowling, our Assistant Controller/Credit Analyst. John also serves as Chairperson of the Panther Valley Blueprint Community Team, a group dedicated to improving the quality of life in the Panther Valley area.

This June, John joined fellow team members at PV Elementary School to volunteer at the monthly food distribution event, part of a long-term commitment to fighting food insecurity in the area. Since the team secured a grant this past winter to bolster the food pantry, John has been a driving force in ensuring consistent community support.

Under his leadership, the Panther Valley Blueprint team has returned each month, distributing essential groceries and bringing smiles to neighbors in need. We’re proud of John’s commitment to service, both in the workplace and in the community.

“It’s not just about food—it’s about connection,” John said. “We want people to know they’re supported.”

Thank you, John, for living JTNB’s mission beyond the office walls.
